2016 CLC World Issue 4
Welcome to CLC World!
This time of year always seems to be one of big changes! For me, I am currently preparing to move to the CLC USA headquarters where we also will be having a new branch of the CLC International Office. It is here that I will be working alongside our new International Director, Gerardo Scalante, in my new ‘communications’ role. Plus going through the visa process once again! With any big change, it is easy to question how it came to be and look back and reflect on what brought you to this point. When you do so, it is amazing to look back and see how much God has brought you through and how evidently He has been working in your life and changing you for His purposes. For I am confident of this very thing, that He who began a good work in you will perfect it until the day of Christ Jesus. Phil. 1:6 (NASB)
The theme of the last issue of CLC World each year is always about ‘giving thanks’, and so I hope you will join us in thanksgiving as we reflect on all that God has been doing in our lives this year and what exciting changes lie ahead for CLC. It is my greatest hope that these testimonies, news items, prayer/praise points and recommended books will help you to look back and reflect on your journey this year with God. May it be a time that brings hope to your heart that God is still at work in your life and how much He loves you! For in him we live and move and exist. As some of your own poets have said, ‘We are his offspring.’ Acts 17:28 A great song which is based on this verse is Creation Sings by All Sons & Daughters. It is on their latest album, Poets & Saints. Another recommendation is The Christmas Promise by Alison Mitchell. This children’s book is a refreshing re-telling of the Christmas story, illustrating just how much God loves us! Hardback ISBN: 9781910307113
