CLC World: UK News! Discover what happened during January to March 2015, here in the UK. UK Managers Meeting, London Surprise and our UK Easter Project.
In February, we held our biannual managers’ meetings at the CLC Wholesale located in Hampshire. It has been many years since the meetings were held here and with so many new members joining the mission, it was decided to be the ideal location.
 Melanie Gardiner, Aberdeen CLC Bookshop & Cafe Manager, shared:
It was amazing to visit the CLC Warehouse in Alresford and see all the action happening! We had a very fruitful time there, and it was great to be with all the other shop managers to share ideas with each other about how best to move forward and represent the CLC mission to the best of our ability in our local community and as a whole. The time of prayer we had as a team of UK shop managers was very special too, and it was great to have the time to enjoy our links in The Lord together! My highlight was finally meeting the one and only Paul Crisp in the warehouse and finally being able to congratulate his incomparable book-finding skills in person!
London, UK: What a wonderful suprise!
After the busy rush of Christmas, our team in London were enjoying a fairly normal Tuesday afternoon on the 6th of January. Suddenly, one of the members of the team spotted this familiar face browsing the shop.
Yes, that is worship leader, Michael W. Smith with our very own Isabel Bernardi! Thank you Lord for this wonderful blessing.
PS. Please remember Isabel in prayer as she recovers from a recent surgery. Thank you!
 UK Easter Project: Portuguese Bibles for Africa
CLC UK Bookshops decided to give this project an extra boost in February by asking their customers to fill out a survey. For every customer survey completed, the team will donate £1 towards this project. With just £5 CLC Portugal is able to send a Portuguese Bible to Africa to be given away. A huge thank you to those who completed the survey as we’ve raised enough to send an additional 52 Bibles!
*In 2014, Bibles were sent to both Angola and Mozambique!
UPDATE: I’ve just received word that the Stockport, UK shop is taking this a step further and for every customer who spends more then £25 in their shop (full priced items) from Ash Wednesday until the Saturday before Easter Sunday, they will donate an additional £1 towards this project!
