Take Note 2017 Issue 1 - This is Love

2017 marks the 25th anniversary of The 5 Love Languages – Gary Chapman’s best-selling book that has helped millions of couples strengthen their relationships and their love for each other.

The theme of love flows throughout this edition of Take Note, including books on love and marriage, inspiring titles showing love in action and devotional reading and Bibles to help grow our love of God’s Word.

 

However, the greatest act of love was of course fulfilled by Jesus himself, as this quote from Romans ch.5 v.8 explains… – ‘God demonstrates his own love for us in this: while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.’ This is love.

 

As we start the run up to Easter when we remember the love of Christ though his death and resurrection, we offer a selection of books and resources (p.6-7) to help us explore and understand more fully the significance and wonder of this act of love and what it means for us today.

Finally, we also include some devotion and reflection ideas for Lent (p.4-5) – helping us to keep our eyes fixed on Him – the one who loves us so much.
